I have a new toy on some of my blog sites and thought I’d play around with it. This chart is prepared by Altos Research with information I requested.
Lake Oswego Real Estate Market
The chart below indicates how the median price in Lake Oswego real estate has dropped from August 2010 to July 18, 2011. According to Altos Research, the median price was $617,000 in 2010 compared to the median price of $564,000 in the Lake Oswego real estate market as of 2011, slightly less than a 9% decrease.
Lake Oswego currently has 8.2 months of inventory = houses for sale. If no other houses came on the market, it would still take 8.2 months to sell all those houses on the market today. At the end of 2010, the Lake Oswego real estate market had 12.2 months of houses to sell and there has been quite a bit of improvement since last year.
Although there has been some progress, Lake Oswego has been struggling with too many houses for sale since the start of the recession. Lake Oswego’s real estate market is still considered a buyers market. Inventory above 7 months is considered favoring buyers.
